2022 Iowa Hawkeyes Fall Baseball League (FBL Tuesday) - 7th & 8th Grade

This is a 5-week program meeting on Tuesday evenings. Each night will consist of a defensive instructional practice session, skill-hitting development sessions, and games. The league will be all coach pitch (or pitching machine) to get more innings in. All games will be played on the fully turfed Banks Field - home of the Hawks!

Current Hawkeye players and coaches will serve as dugout coaches, game administrators, and umpires. (Umpires will call balls and strikes behind the mound.)

Participants will receive one jersey to be worn each week as their FBL jersey.

The FBL will be open to any and all participants that are in the 7th & 8th Grades.  

4 Team of 9 players

50 minutes of Defense

50 minutes of Hitting

60 Minute Game

The league will be limited to approximately 36 individuals. 9 per team.

5:30pm - 5:40pm Movement Prep, Arm Care & Throw Program

5:40pm - 6:30pm Defensive Sessions 

 6:40pm -7:40pm Game 1. Team 1 vs Team 2 Hitting Session Team 3 & 4

 7:40pm -8:40pm Game 2 Team 3 vs Team 4 Hitting Sessions Team 1 & 2

2021 Hawkeyes Fall Baseball League

Location: Banks Field & Jacobson Athletic Building (next to Banks Field)

Time: 5:50pm-8:40pm

Grades 7th & 8th Grade  

Cost: $200

Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment, including a glove, bat, helmet, hat, molded cleats or running/turf shoes (need turf/tennis shoes for hitting), and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. NO METAL SPIKES. All players must wear baseball pants, caps,s, and camp-issued t-shirts as jerseys during the camp. Catchers must bring their own gear. The University of Iowa Baseball program will not be responsible for lost items.
